Scholarship Checklist

The 2020 application is now closed. The 2021 program will open mid-December. Please check back!

  • My high school College Board Code # (if available) is included.
  • I have validated my eligibility as a military dependent by entering the benefits number found on the reverse of the U.S. Uniformed Services Identification and Privilege Card (DD Form 1173).
  • My U.S. Uniformed Services Identification and Privilege Card is not expired.
  • I have uploaded a PDF of my transcript or copy of my grades (unweighted).
  • My parent or guardian (the sponsor) has provided their affidavit/signature online.
  • I am not a dependent child of a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Public Health Service, other federal or military related agencies or activities, or a DoD civilian employee, unless the sponsor is also retired from military service.
  • I completed the essay (max 500 words).
  • The Scholarships for Military Children Program expects that the student complete the application, and applicants must attest to this when submitting the application.
